How to participate

Prepare now, submit when open

Keep the action simple and genuine. The submission wizard will collect the details and photo once participation opens.

1

Plant a sapling

Choose a safe and suitable place such as your home garden, school, community space, farm, or workplace. Take permission for public or shared land.

2

Take a clear photo

Show the participant and the newly planted sapling. Keep location tagging enabled if possible; exact location will not be shown publicly.

3

Submit through the wizard

Fill the online wizard with basic details, plantation information, declaration, and the photo. Large mobile photos will be resized by the system.

4

Receive certificate

After submission, participants will receive a digital certificate. Green Action resources will be published on the public resource page when available.

Photo and safety rules

What participants should keep ready

These simple rules help make the campaign credible without making participation difficult.

  • Use a real sapling planted in a place where it can survive.
  • Take a fresh photo with the sapling clearly visible.
  • Enable camera location tagging if your phone allows it.
  • Children below 18 should participate with parent or guardian support.
  • Submit only genuine plantation proof and truthful details.

Questions

Green Action FAQ

Simple answers for participants, families, schools, and community groups joining MA Green Action 2026.

Who can participate?

Anyone can take part as an individual, family, student, school, organisation, or community group. Children should participate with support from a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult.

What do I need to do?

Plant one sapling in a suitable place, take a clear photo with the participant and the sapling, and submit the details through the online wizard when submissions are open.

Where can I plant the sapling?

You can plant at home, school, college, farm, workplace, or a community place where the sapling can survive. For public or shared land, please take permission first.

Is a location-tagged photo required?

A location-tagged photo helps us keep the campaign credible, but the exact location is not shown publicly. If your phone does not add location, submit the clearest photo and truthful place details you have.

When can I submit my entry?

The submission button follows the campaign timing shown on this page. If submissions are closed, new entries cannot be accepted for this campaign.

Will I get a certificate?

After a successful submission, the system prepares a digital participation certificate and sends it to the email address provided. A download option is also shown on the success page.

Will my name or photo be shown publicly?

Not automatically. Public recognition is separate and depends on review plus the public display permission given during submission.

Where can I get resources?

The Green Action resource page can be visited anytime. We will add material there when it is ready, and we may also email participants when important resources or updates are shared.

Why am I not listed in the Green Champion Registry?

The registry is a small recognition space, not a full participant list. Entries appear only after review and only when public display permission is available.
