elections on M-Board

Learn about the election lifecycle, eligibility, and how outcomes are determined.

Election Lifecycle

DraftThe election is created by an administrator or department manager. Members cannot yet see or vote.

PublishedThe election is announced. Eligible members can see it but voting has not yet opened.

ActiveVoting is open. Eligible members can cast their vote within the election window.

CompletedVoting has closed. Results are tallied and awaiting official release.

Results publishedThe governing body releases official results. Members see the outcome on the results page.

Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by the election creator — typically based on department, member status, or membership tier. You will only see elections for which you are eligible. If you believe you should be eligible for an election and are not listed, contact your department representative or administrator.

Upcoming Elections

Elections scheduled for the future appear in the Upcoming tab of your dashboard. You can see the title, start date, and candidate count. You cannot vote until the election opens.
