What's New on M-Board
New features, improvements, and capabilities — explained plainly, without the technical detail. Everything that makes your experience better.
Hit the search icon in the navigation bar (or press Ctrl + K / ⌘ K on any page) and a full-screen overlay opens. Type anything — a name, a file title, an event, a poll topic, an election — and results appear in real time as you type. No page reload. No separate search pages for each section.
Use the scope strip at the top of the overlay to narrow results: Everything searches all at once; Members, Files, Events, Notes, Polls, and Elections each search their own section. The active scope is remembered as you type.
Every result card is a direct link. Members open their full profile. Files open inline (PDFs, images) or download. Events, polls, and elections take you straight to the detail page or ballot — no extra navigation needed.
Power users never need to reach for the mouse. Ctrl + K (or ⌘ K on Mac) opens the overlay from anywhere on the platform. Esc — or the × button — closes it instantly and returns focus to where you were.
The overlay adapts to every screen size. On mobile, the scope strip scrolls horizontally, results stack into a single column, and the keyboard is handled natively. Tap the search icon in the mobile header to open it — it behaves like a native app search sheet.
Search results respect every visibility rule on the platform. Department-restricted files, private events, and member-only elections only appear if you are eligible to access them. Guests see a reduced set; signed-in members see their full authorised view.
A complete, searchable help system is now built into the platform. Every feature is explained step-by-step: how to vote, how to read your receipt, how to use QR Login, how proposals work, how to register for events, and much more. Access it from the navigation menu at any time.
The entire Help Center is now available in Hindi (हिंदी). Use the EN / हिं toggle in the sidebar or mobile menu to switch — your preference is remembered for your entire session.
Dedicated, fully detailed pages for the platform's Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Cookie Policy are now live — accessible from the footer on any page.
Can't find what you're looking for? The Help Center's search bar finds the right section instantly as you type — no page reload needed. Works on both desktop and mobile.
A new public-facing team directory is now live. Every governing member with a published profile appears with their verified governance roles, responsibilities, domain expertise, qualifications, and areas of interest — all in one place. Browse as a grid or select any member to open a full split-view profile. Available at Our Team from the main navigation.
Signed-in members see the full profile — governance detail, voting status, contact information (subject to each member's visibility setting), employee ID, and joining date. Guests see a curated public subset with a prompt to sign in for complete access. No sensitive data is ever exposed to unauthenticated visitors.
Every profile in the directory is created, reviewed, and published by an administrator — never self-published. Profiles go through draft → active → published states. Governing members can preview their own profile from Profile → My Public Profile before it goes live.
The directory toolbar lets you filter members by department and search by name or role in real time. On mobile, selecting a member opens a full-screen bottom-sheet profile. On desktop, the layout switches to a sticky sidebar list with a detail panel — no page reloads anywhere.
Want to use M-Board on a Smart TV, a shared office PC, or a kiosk? Open the login page on that device, then scan the QR code with your trusted phone. You approve the session — including how long it lasts — and the other device logs you in automatically. Your password never touches the other device.
Can't point a camera at the screen? Every QR code has a matching short code (e.g. A3F8C2) shown beneath it. Copy it and type it on your approver device instead. Same security, no camera needed.
When approving, choose how long the session lasts: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours, 1 day, or a custom duration up to 30 days. Revoke it instantly at any time from Profile → QR Login → Active Devices.
See every device currently logged into your account and a full log of past QR sessions. Spot something unfamiliar? Revoke any session in one click — it signs out within seconds.
Browse all upcoming and past events in Grid, List, or Calendar view. One click to register — the platform tracks your place, puts you on a waitlist if it's full, and sends you a confirmation notification automatically. For paid events, your registration is confirmed after payment verification.
When your registration is confirmed, a unique QR code is generated just for you. Show it at the event entrance and you're checked in instantly. No paper, no queues, no name lists.
After every event, share your feedback — a star rating, written thoughts, and whether you'd recommend it. You can submit anonymously if you prefer; your name will appear as Anonymous in the public review list.
Organisers can publish structured notes after an event ends — summaries, key takeaways, decisions made, and action items. Notes can be shared with all members or kept private. Export them as PDF with one click.
You don't have to be an admin to get an event on the calendar. Use the Propose button on your dashboard to submit a meeting, workshop, webinar, or any other event. It goes through the same peer review process as all proposals.
Got an idea for an election, a poll to gauge opinion, an event to organise, or a governance change to propose? Use the 💡 Propose button on your dashboard. Four proposal types, each with its own focused form. Your draft is auto-saved as you type — close the tab and come back later, it's still there.
Every proposal starts with peer review. Tag at least 2 fellow members as reviewers when you submit. They receive an email notification and review your proposal inside M-Board. At least 2 approvals are needed before it moves forward.
After peer review, proposals go through the Board of Directors, then to the relevant Department or Committee, then to a General Body vote, and finally to final Board approval before implementation. You can track exactly where your proposal is at any moment — and so can everyone involved. Rejection at any stage isn't the end; you can revise and resubmit.
For formal governance actions — policy, budget, constitutional amendments, social services, research, training, and more — the Universal Proposal form covers everything: financial impact, implementation milestones, risk assessment, voting configuration, and supporting document uploads up to 10 MB each.
Upload and share documents, spreadsheets, images, videos, and more. Choose exactly who can see each file: just yourself, specific people, your department, or all members. Every file access uses a secure one-time link — no direct URL sharing possible. Maximum file size: 50 MB.
Pin any file for quick access. Set how long the pin lasts and it unpins itself automatically when time expires. Pinned files are grouped by who pinned them so nothing gets buried.
Share links to resources hosted elsewhere — Google Docs, external portals, reference sites — alongside your uploaded files. They appear in the same File Browser with the same visibility controls.
All platform alerts in one place — elections opening, proposals advancing, file shares, event confirmations, and security alerts. Tabs for All, Unread, and Read. Refreshes automatically every 2 minutes. Control whether you also receive emails under Profile → Preferences.
Polls let the association gather member opinions on any topic without a binding governance decision. Same five voting methods as elections. Results can be shown to you immediately after you respond, or held for official release — the creator decides. Your response is just as private as a vote.
M-Board now supports all five voting methods: Plurality (pick up to N), Majority (pick exactly 1), Approval (tick as many as you like), Ranked Choice (order your preferences — losers transfer votes in rounds), and Cumulative (spread a points budget across candidates). The ballot page always shows which method is in use and how to use it.
When enabled by the election or poll creator, you can formally participate without choosing any candidate or option. Your abstention is recorded and counts toward participation — it just doesn't add to any candidate's tally.
M-Board launched as the internal governance platform for Madhunandan Association — a Section 8 non-profit. Built by the internal IT team for members, not as a product. All data stays on our own servers. No third-party access, ever.
Your vote is private by design — not just by policy. Vote choices are separated from your identity using cryptography. Not even administrators can see how you voted. Every vote produces a receipt code you can use to confirm your vote was counted.
Every sign-in from a new device triggers a one-time email code. Mark a device as trusted and it won't ask again. Enable 2FA under Profile → Security for an extra layer on every sign-in — mandatory for admins, strongly recommended for all members.
First-time members complete a 7-stage wizard covering the association's Vision, Values, Terms, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and end with a legally equivalent digital signature. Your signed record is permanently visible and downloadable from Profile → Agreement.
Add M-Board to your phone or desktop home screen for a native app experience. On iOS: Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android: three-dot menu → Add to Home Screen. On desktop: install icon in the browser address bar.
A messaging layer built into M-Board — familiar, like WhatsApp, but integrated with every module. An all-members group, auto-managed department groups, private messaging, and custom groups. Discuss elections, proposals, and events in context without leaving the conversation.
A structured, safe channel to raise concerns, give feedback, or make suggestions — with full anonymity if you choose it. Submissions are routed to the right authority automatically. Track the status of your submission without revealing who you are.
